Cutanplast are hemostatic sponges made from porcine-derived gelatin (99.3% of final weight) and Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (0.7%). They are sterile, absorbable, and water-insoluble.
Cutanplast can be applied dry or moistened with saline solution, using gentle pressure. It may be left in place on the wound or removed once hemostasis has been achieved. The sponge is reabsorbed in approximately three weeks.
Each sponge comes in a 1 cm cube format, and is packaged in boxes of 24 units.
