The regenerative solution since 1995
Bio-Gen® was one of the first bone grafts to move away from the paradigm of heterologous biomaterials produced through heat treatment. Obtained through an enzymatic process at controlled temperatures, Bio-Gen® maintains the mineral component completely unaltered, preserving bone collagen (Type I collagen) in its hydrolyzed form.
Used since 1995 by dentists and surgeons in over 60 countries worldwide, its clinical efficacy is demonstrated by more than 100 publications in national and international journals.
ALONGSIDE PROFESSIONALS IN DAILY SURGERY
Bio-Gen® is available in three convenient formats, designed for the most common regenerative surgeries in dental practice: alveolar preservation, small guided bone regeneration (GBR), sinus lift, and bone cyst filling.
Bio-Gen® Properties
- Superior quality raw material: Manufactured with carefully selected materials to ensure the best results.
- Enzymatic deantigenization: A process that removes any potential antigenic components without damaging the material's structure.
- Unaltered mineral phase: Maintains the bone’s original mineral composition.
- Hydrolyzed collagen: Preserves Type I collagen in its natural form, promoting bone regeneration.
- Beta-ray sterilization: A process that ensures the safety and purity of the material.
Key Benefits of Bio-Gen®
- More natural: Its composition mimics autologous bone, promoting physiological bone regeneration.
- Greater predictability: Provides reliable and reproducible results in regenerative procedures.
- Optimal structure: Designed for effective integration into the patient's bone tissue.
- Natural regeneration enhancer: Bio-Gen® granules integrate perfectly, stimulating new bone formation without causing inflammatory reactions.
Bio-Gen® supports the natural bone regeneration process
Histological samples of regenerated bone six months after surgery, stained with hematoxylin-eosin: black arrows indicate newly formed bone, squares show residual biomaterial. A significant amount of newly formed bone and perfect integration of Bio-Gen® granules can be observed, as well as the absence of inflammatory infiltrates.

The samples show:
- A significant amount of newly formed bone.
- Perfect integration of Bio-Gen® granules.
- Absence of inflammatory infiltrates.
Clinical and in vitro studies
Developed by Bioteck, Bio-Gen® integrates physiologically, enhancing the body's regenerative potential. In an in vitro study conducted with bone marrow stem cells, Bio-Gen® was shown to promote differentiation into osteoprogenitor cells (osteoblasts) significantly more than anorganic bovine bone. This is because Bio-Gen® preserves collagen, an essential component lost in biomaterials treated at high temperatures.

BLOOD DONATION IS STILL POSSIBLE:
Patients treated with Bioteck medical devices retain eligibility to donate blood or blood components, as established by current regulations.
