Monosyn® Quick is a fast absorbable synthetic monofilament suture designed for soft tissue and mucosal adaptation when short-term wound support (up to 7 days) is required. It offers excellent handling, secure knotting and minimal inflammatory response.
Monosyn® Quick is a fast absorbable synthetic monofilament suture, specifically developed for procedures where short-term wound support is sufficient and where tissue sensitivity or potential contamination may be present. It is particularly suitable when suture removal is not possible or not recommended.
The suture is manufactured from glyconate, a low molecular weight copolymer composed of glycolic acid (72%), ε-caprolactone (14%) and trimethylene carbonate (14%). Its monofilament structure ensures smooth, atraumatic tissue passage, minimizing tissue trauma and inflammatory response.
Monosyn® Quick provides reliable wound support during the early postoperative phase, with a rapid and predictable loss of tensile strength, followed by complete absorption by hydrolysis within 56 days. This absorption profile makes it ideal for intradermal sutures and mucosal closures where prolonged mechanical support is unnecessary.
